Dow Corning was created in 1943 by The Dow Chemical Company and Corning Glass Works (Corning Inc.) in Midland, Michigan to expand the uses and possibilities of silicon-based materials. Dow Corning employs 9000 people and has a world-wide distribution area.

Within 50 years, Dow Corning has revealed the possibilities of silicon-based materials with more than 10,000 products. This industry leader creates these materials for nearly all industries.
